56th Annual In Service training Institute
The In-Service Training Institute (ISTI) is a week of fellowship, sharing, and learning sponsored by the Leadership Development Board of the National Association of the Church of God with general offices in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania. Born of a felt need to better train and equip church leaders for greater effectiveness in church ministries, the Institute was established in 1957 and housed in Knox Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the educational arm of the National Association.
Since 1979 the Institute has been held annually in July on the beautiful campus of Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. In a unique academic setting the Institute offers a curriculum that includes a wide variety of courses and subject matter. Our goal is to inform, instruct, and inspire church leaders and others to excellence in church ministries.
To this end over eighty classes are offered for pastors, ministers, church officers, teachers, children and youth directors and other ministry leaders. Participants range from fourteen to senior adults. The highly qualified instructional staff of more than thirty provide not only quality learning experiences but also share themselves beyond the classroom with students. The Institute gives continuing education unit (C.E.U.) credit for the week's learning experience.
